To our Mom 05/14/2023

To our Mom 🥰

In a world full of wonder, where dreams come alive,
There's a hero I know who makes my heart thrive.
She's caring and kind, with a smile so warm,
She's my mom, my first hero, in every form.

From the very beginning, she held me so tight,
Guiding me through darkness, like a shining light.
With love as her armor, and strength as her shield,
She taught me to be brave and face every battlefield.

When I stumbled and fell, she lifted me high,
Encouraging me to spread my wings and fly.
Her words were like magic, inspiring my soul,
She believed in me, making me whole.

Through tears and laughter, she's always been there,
Her unwavering support, a constant affair.
She listened to my worries, wiped away my fears,
Her love transcending the passing years.

In her embrace, I find solace and peace,
A sanctuary of love that will never cease.
Her sacrifices, countless, her love profound,
She's the foundation on which my world is bound.

She's a superhero, not with a cape or mask,
But with love and devotion, an extraordinary task.
She's my mom, my first hero, forever true,
I'm grateful every day for all that she'll do.

So here's to my mom, with a heart made of gold,
A hero in disguise, whose love will never fold.
I cherish every moment, every lesson she imparts,
For she's not just my mom, she's forever in my heart.

My Journey

https://fb.watch/pFlJR1MLy4/?mibextid=RtaFA8 Transforming my body hasn't been easy, but it's worth it. I'm grateful for the journey and the lessons learned along the way. Though excess skin remains, I choose to focus on how far I've come, not just where I am now. I have 35 lbs to meet my overall goal, lost over 165 lbs & down 16 dress sizes 🙌  For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8

This is Our Story

This is Our Story My husband and I are going on a journey together.  A healthy journey.  You can follow us on Instagram @old_man_scott_73 and @southern_fluff_to_fit!  We have been married for almost 22 years and one day we were tired the way we were living.  No energy, eating out all the time, and spending more money on food when we could be putting that money back for retirement and to build a house.  We both had our own health issues going on and it was enough to make a decision to make a change now or have a shorter life.   On April 5, 2017, my world changed.  I had to have a full hysterectomy because I had endometriosis really bad.  After my month of recovery, my husband and I started going to the gym.  The rest shows above of our previous start of our healthy journey.  Four years later, we gained some of that weight back.  Depression hit and I always told myself that I would never have surgery becaus...
