***** 5 Star Review *****

This is a nonfiction short story inspired by true events. This is a very time to read something like this and review for an author. I live in Arkansas and I was familiar with a person near where I live, that she was a preteen and died from the same disease.

This story is about a victim of the Naegleria fowleri, a brain-eating amoeba that lurks in warm waters. It is contracted via the nose rather than by drinking contaminated water. Once the amoeba enters the hose, it attaches to the mucosa and migrates to the brain by the nerve endings.

This amoeba can kill a person within 14 days. It can be consumed from freshwater that reach or exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit and often as high as 115 degrees Fahrenheit, all these systems.

The majority of those infected have been children under the age of eighteen, and more than 75% have been male.

On August 13th, 2011, Courtney Nash who was 16 yrs old, passed away from the PAM disease. All she did was go swimming with her friends and family in the St Johns River in Titusville, Florida. It just took under 2 weeks to take her life.

"A Single Swim" is a true story of true events but just only one of the victims of this single rare single silent killer. Read this story and find out what happened. This was her story.

My Journey

https://fb.watch/pFlJR1MLy4/?mibextid=RtaFA8 Transforming my body hasn't been easy, but it's worth it. I'm grateful for the journey and the lessons learned along the way. Though excess skin remains, I choose to focus on how far I've come, not just where I am now. I have 35 lbs to meet my overall goal, lost over 165 lbs & down 16 dress sizes 🙌  For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8
