The beginning of something new

First day pre-op 06/21/22

Today is the day! I prayed & cried out to God for His will about this journey. Even though I'm nervous, I'm excited & feel peace about this decision.

I started getting pretty chunky at the age of 10. I was in my early 20's realizing my size was my age. I got all the way up to size 28-30 and put a stop to it. I got back down to size 22-24 & been stuck there for years. I'm 43 years old & feel tired all the time. My knees hurt & have constant migraines. I feel like God wants me to do more but my weight has been burdening me down. My insecurities & self esteem get the best of me.

I prayed about having this surgery about a year ago & started talking with others who had it. My insurance finally covers it so I started my journey. Please pray all goes well today & I will keep you posted.

We have been married for almost 22 years and one day we were tired the way we were living. No energy, eating out all the time, and spending more money on food when we could be putting that money back for retirement and to build a house.
