My Mom by Terri Cox

My Mom

My mom is my best friend, it was just her and me

Even though she was lost and couldn’t see

She was the one who kept my heart beating

Her soul awakened when I was born

It was long overdue because she was in mourn

She would always make sure I was taken care of

The sacrifices she made, I was unaware of

Over the years, we may not have always agreed

But her love stays true and unconditionally

My mom is still my best friend, from this day

We are so blessed to have a full family that came our way

My Journey

https://fb.watch/pFlJR1MLy4/?mibextid=RtaFA8 Transforming my body hasn't been easy, but it's worth it. I'm grateful for the journey and the lessons learned along the way. Though excess skin remains, I choose to focus on how far I've come, not just where I am now. I have 35 lbs to meet my overall goal, lost over 165 lbs & down 16 dress sizes 🙌  For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8

A Single Swim by Kristina Circelli with review, A True Short Story

Synopsis *This is a nonfiction book inspired by true events. On August 13th, 2011, sixteen-year-old Courtney Nash passed away after contracting Naegleria fowleri, a brain-eating amoeba that lurks in warm waters. This is her story. A Single Swim follows Courtney’s life and death, while taking a closer look into an amoebic infection very few people ever hear about – until it’s too late. Tracing as far back as 1960s, Naegleria fowleri and the resulting infection of this parasite have taken more than a dozen lives, with a fatality rate of nearly 100%. Through an examination of Courtney’s case along with stories of other victims across the United States, A Single Swim offers a glimpse into our waters’ rare silent killer. From ecology to symptoms, hospital care to awareness, find out what can happen ... after a single swim. ( ***** 5 Star Review ***** This is a nonfiction short story inspired by true events. This is a very time to read something like this and review for an author....

This is Our Story

This is Our Story My husband and I are going on a journey together.  A healthy journey.  You can follow us on Instagram @old_man_scott_73 and @southern_fluff_to_fit!  We have been married for almost 22 years and one day we were tired the way we were living.  No energy, eating out all the time, and spending more money on food when we could be putting that money back for retirement and to build a house.  We both had our own health issues going on and it was enough to make a decision to make a change now or have a shorter life.   On April 5, 2017, my world changed.  I had to have a full hysterectomy because I had endometriosis really bad.  After my month of recovery, my husband and I started going to the gym.  The rest shows above of our previous start of our healthy journey.  Four years later, we gained some of that weight back.  Depression hit and I always told myself that I would never have surgery becaus...
