About Me

About Me

Hi, my name is Terri and I have a HUGE obsession with books. I am married and we have been together a little over 22 years. I wasn't able to have children but when we married, I gained a stepson who is now 27 years old.  I have two mini aussie shepherd's named Winston & Watson. I have several hobbies such as reading, blogging, and singing. I also play video games from time to time and have a few collectibles such as Hello Kitty, DC Universe Women, and Anime. One day, my husband and I would like to write and publish our own book!

I used this blog years ago under Secretly Adorkable Readers and received many ARC's from authors.  I had prayed about it for a long time and I wanted to blog about my weight loss journey to help encourage others.  This page going forward with be like a journal plus also writing some of my poems and songs, my husband's short stories.   I will be posting pictures of my husband and I as we lose weight, inspirational quotes and updates of our progress as we go along!

I've been told I'm not really 43 but really 13. I'm secretly a superhero and a gamer but not so secretly. I like Hello Kitty and playing Laura Croft and just being me.

My Journey

https://fb.watch/pFlJR1MLy4/?mibextid=RtaFA8 Transforming my body hasn't been easy, but it's worth it. I'm grateful for the journey and the lessons learned along the way. Though excess skin remains, I choose to focus on how far I've come, not just where I am now. I have 35 lbs to meet my overall goal, lost over 165 lbs & down 16 dress sizes 🙌  For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8

Through an examination of Courtney’s case along with stories of other victims across the United States, A Single Swim offers a glimpse into our waters’ rare silent killer. From ecology to symptoms, hospital care to awareness, find out what can happen ... after a single swim. ( ***** 5 Star Review ***** This is a nonfiction short story inspired by true events. This is a very time to read something like this and review for an author....

This is Our Story

This is Our Story My husband and I are going on a journey together.  A healthy journey.  You can follow us on Instagram @old_man_scott_73 and @southern_fluff_to_fit!  We have been married for almost 22 years and one day we were tired the way we were living.  No energy, eating out all the time, and spending more money on food when we could be putting that money back for retirement and to build a house.  We both had our own health issues going on and it was enough to make a decision to make a change now or have a shorter life.   On April 5, 2017, my world changed.  I had to have a full hysterectomy because I had endometriosis really bad.  After my month of recovery, my husband and I started going to the gym.  The rest shows above of our previous start of our healthy journey.  Four years later, we gained some of that weight back.  Depression hit and I always told myself that I would never have surgery becaus...
